How can I send my goods?

As a Sender -

Register/Sign up

REQUEST DELIVERY                                                                   

Fill in the details of the delivery with the pick-up and drop-off location, date, size and other details of the parcel and post a request

ACCEPT OFFER

Review all the offers you receive, chat with the Deliverer the Delmyway chat if you wish, view the ratings of the Deliverer and once satisfied, accept the offer!

OTP

On accepting the offer the Sender will receive an OTP via the application and email

HAND OVER THE GOODS

On the day of the pickup, when the Deliverer arrives, Share the OTP with the deliverer and once verified, hand over the goods to be delivered.

Note: Once the goods are handed over, the agreed offer amount will be deducted from the Senders account.

 

What can I send through Delmyway?

You can send anything from documents to groceries to furniture through Delmyway.

However there are some prohibited goods including -

·       Illegal items

·       People

·       Tobacco

·       Drugs

·       Alcoholic beverages

·       Firearms or weapons

·       Fireworks

·       Hazardous waste

·       Animals

·       Medicine without prescription

·       Currency

 

How can I communicate with the Deliverer?

The sender and the deliverer can communicate with each other via the Delmyway chat.

How can I track my goods delivery?

Sender and Deliverer can send messages on Delmyway or use mobile/phone services to find out the whereabouts of the delivery item.

How are the deliverers verified?

All the Delmyway deliverers are people of the community offering to deliver goods, as they are heading in the same direction and have the room and time to deliver. At the time of registering, the deliverers are verified through a background check. All deliverers must maintain a 4 star rating to continue delivering through Delmyway.

Will the deliverer help me lift my package?

The deliverers are not movers. While you can ask for their assistance in moving an item, deliverers are not obligated to do so. If you have a large or heavy item that requires lifting, make sure to arrange someone at both pickups and drop off location to load and unload the item.

When do I pay the deliverer?

When the OTP is verified and goods handed over for delivery, money is deducted from the senders account and held with Delmyway. At the time of delivery when the OTP is verified and goods successfully delivered, the money is credited in the deliverers account.

What if the deliverer does not turn up on the day of the delivery?

All the deliverers on Delmyway are people of the community and the services depend on goodwill and trust.

There is a possibility of a deliverer not being able to arrive on the day of the delivery due to unexpected situations. However, the deliverer can notify the sender in advance, via Delmyway chat if he/she is unable to deliver the goods on the agreed date.

In such a situation the status of the delivery can be changed from accepted to new and the previous offers will become available for the sender to pick from and negotiate.

If the deliverer does not turn up on the date without prior notice, negative feedback or poor rating could lead to difficulty in receiving new offers. Deliverers must maintain a 4 star rating to continue delivering through Delmyway.

How can I deliver goods?

As a Deliverer -

Register/ Sign up

OFFER DELIVERY

Enter the suburb that you would like to pick a delivery from. All posts requesting deliveries form that particular suburb will be displayed. Pick one or more offers that suit you, chat with the sender and if all the terms match your requirements, you can agree to the offer.

OTP

Arrive at the agreed location of pick-up of the delivery. The sender will provide an OTP. Enter the OTP under My deliveries > Open deliveries > Enter OTP.

PICK THE GOODS

Once the OTP is verified collect the goods for delivery.

Note: Once the goods are collected, the agreed offer amount will be deducted from the Senders account.

DELIVER GOODS

Once you arrive at the drop-off location, the Receiver will share an OTP. Enter the OTP and once verified hand over the goods.

At this point the delivery fee will be credited into the Your/Deliverers account and the Sender will be notified of the successful delivery!

What if I for some reason I am unable to collect the goods and make a delivery?

There is a lot of trust riding on the shoulders of the Deliverers! But for some unexpected reason if you are unable to collect the goods and make the delivery it is expected that you inform the Sender as soon as possible to enable him/her to find another deliverer. However, one must bear in mind, this could reflect on the ratings.

Will I be held liable for damage of the goods while transporting?

What is expected of me as a deliverer?

On accepting the offer the deliverer is expected to maintain friendly communication with the sender and complete the delivery at the promised time. All Delmyway deliverers are expected to maintain a minimum of 4 star ratings based on the feedback from the Senders to continue receiving offers and delivering with Delmyway.

How and when do I get paid?

On accepting the offer, both you and the sender will receive an OTP. On arrival at the time of the delivery, once the OTP is verified and goods collected, the payment gets deducted from the senders account and is held by Delmyway. At the time of the delivery once the OTP is verified and goods handed over the funds get transferred to your account.

Can I deliver multiple packages?

Yes, you can deliver single or multiple packages as long as you are able to meet the agreed timings and can fit the goods in your vehicle.

What if the sender is unresponsive after accepting the offer?

You may cancel his request and accept the next best offer.

What if the receiver is unavailable at the time of the delivery?

If the receiver is unavailable at the agreed time of delivery, you can contact the sender for instructions on where you can leave the goods at the sender’s responsibility.

 

 

Receiver FAQs

Do I need to be registered with Delmyway to receive goods?

No Receiver need to be registered with Delmyway. He/she will be notified by email and deliverer may contact you on your mobile if needed.

What if I cannot be available to receive the goods at the agreed time of delivery?

If, for unavoidable reasons you cannot be available to receive the goods, you can notify the sender and provide instructions on where the goods can be safely left in your absence. The sender can then pass on the information to the Deliverer.

Will the deliverer unload and carry the goods in at the time of delivery?

The deliverers are not movers. While you can ask for their assistance in carrying in an item, deliverers are not obligated to do so. If you are expecting a large or heavy item that requires lifting, make sure to arrange someone to help unload the item.
